Powerscreen has signed DUO Africa as its first distributor in Ghana. And, as the ink dried on the contract at bauma, the company unveiled a deal to supply three crushing and screening trains. The company saw sales grow by 10% in the year with the biggest increase (20%) coming from the Americas. Leading Chinese construction equipment manufacturing firm XCMG has revealed plans to open a new research and development facility in the United States. Speaking at bauma 2013 Wang Yansong, the company’s vice president, said, “In the second half of this year we are planning to build a R&D centre in the United States. Terex Corporation chairman and CEO Ron DeFeo is predicting strong growth over the next three years, with the aim of US$10bn revenues by 2015, up from $7.3bn in 2012.
