Fayat is aiming its new multi-function spraying machine at contractors looking to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Most conventional sprayers are not used to lay tack coats before hot mixes so Fayat opted to make a multi-function machine able to combine these functions. In addition to spraying, this new machine also carries sealing material or supplies of water and diesel for worksite equipment.

JCB has introduced two new soil compactors; the VM117D and the VM137D with operating weights of 11tonnes and 12.2tonnes respectively. The single-drum vibratory compactors can be used for a wide range of work in infrastructure and housing projects and have a smooth drum as standard with pad foot drums as an option. Komatsu expects to see ‘intelligent’ machine control as a standard feature on dozers, excavators and potentially other machines within 10 years. It has started the roll-out of its intelligent machines with the D61EXi/PXi-23 dozer and a prototype PC210LCi-10 excavator.

Polish manufacturer Dressta, now owned by LiuGong, has updated the engine in its TD14R dozer to bring the machine into line with recent emissions regulations. The TD14R is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 engine delivering 119kW. The 18.7tonne dozer is available in standard, long and low ground pressure track models, with a three-point suspension system to maintain tractive effort on rough ground.
