Magni Telescopic Handlers has ambitious plans to increase its share of the telehandler market after its €15-20million investment in machines, attachments and a new production facility. At bauma 2013, Magni has unveiled its RTH and HTH models. The RTH range consists of seven rotating telehandler models, and the HTH range of two heavy-duty machines for the mining and oil industry, with a further model in development.

Mecalac Group has introduced the MCR6 compact excavator, first previewed at last year’s Intermat exhibition. A combination of both compact excavator and loader in a single machine, the MCR6 joins the larger MCR8 and MCVR10 in the Mecalac line. Montabert has updated its most well-known hydraulic breaker. When the French company started making hammers 40 years ago, its first breaker was called the BRH501. Now Montabert is launching a new series of breakers and the first model is called the 501 Next Generation. Weighing in at 730kg, the breaker has the same power as Montabert’s previous 1,000kg models. This increase in power to weight will allow demolition contractors to use the breaker on longer reach machines, or on smaller excavators if required.

Cargotec brand Hiab has launched the Hiab XS 544 - a 51m tall loader crane said to feature efficient load handling, greater versatility and reduced environmental impact. From German firm Ruthmann comes the new Steiger T 7XX unit, which broadens its height performance access equipment series. Featuring sturdy construction, the unit is said to be both robust and durable with fine-grained steel used to maximise the performance of its telescoping boom. German firm Atlas has developed two new high performance truck loading cranes, the 186.3VB and the 129.3V. The cranes have a lower deadweight than previous models in this class and the 186.3VB model benefits from a centrally placed crane column that provides a large range of movement as well as high stability to both sides. Liebherr will show a modular design flat-top tower crane in the 150EC-B at this year’s Bauma. The 150EC-B is available in FR.tronic, with traditional contractor controls, or Litronic version with programmable logic controls. The flat-top crane can be had in 6 tonne and 8 tonne versions, with a maximum hook height of 63m and maximum working radius of 60m. Lift capacity at full radius is 1,700kg.
