Zambian road funds found

Zambia's Ministry of Works and Supply is budgeting US$273.24 million for its 2010 roads budget. Meanwhile a further $500 million is required for upgrades and maintenance of roads that have been damaged already.

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe)/HCME) is launching its range of Zaxis-5 medium and large excavators. New machines on show include the ZX250LC-5, ZX290LC-5, ZX350LC-5 and ZX470LCH-5. The range of Zaxis-5 models has been developed by the Design Centre at Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) in Japan. Australia's safety upgrades

The Australian state of Queensland plans to upgrade its roads and has set a budget of US$3.24 billion (A$3.53 billion) for the task. Key projects will include safety improvements to 20 intersections, which have been identified as accident blackspots.
