Exhibitor registration now open for the next bC India event. Applications for exhibit space are now being accepted for companies wishing to exhibit at the second edition of bC India. This takes place February 5-8, 2013 at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The closing date for priority applications is March 15, 2012. Scheduled to cover 130,000m2 of exhibition space, this second bC India is taking up almost 50% more space than at the premiere in 2011.

Albanian road project loan

Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has agreed to provide a loan of AED183.50million (US$49.95million) for the construction of the Tirana-Elbasan road project. The completed works will shorten travelling time between both cities contributing to Albania's economic growth through the support of domestic trade exchange.
Indra implements latest UTC in four cities in China

Spanish multi-national Indra has announced it is implementing the latest urban traffic control technology in four cities in China - Changde, Guilin, Korla (Bazhou) and Liaocheng - all of them in China, for some US$18 million. Mongolia's road ahead

Financing worth a total of US$170 million will help fund construction of Mongolia's Western Regional Road Corridor. This will be provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in a series of payments.
Kosovo's road safety problem

Road safety is expected to improve with the opening of the new Route 7 highway in Kosovo. Complete accident details were not available for 2011 but there were 94 fatal accidents and 168 killed on Kosovo's roads between January and September 2011, an increase of 8% over the previous year.
Hungarian highway getting underway

Work to construct a new stretch of Hungary’s M43 highway, linking Mako and Csanadpalota/Nagylak on the Romanian border, is costing some €212 million. The cost of the work is being split 39% and 61% by Hungarian state funds and EU funding respectively. Construction work on the 23km long section will be completed by the end of 2014.
