Wirtgen offers sophisticated concrete paving system

Versatility and high performance are key features of the new SP84i slipform paver from Wirtgen. The machinie runs on four steerable crawler tracks and features its mould fitted between the crawler tracks. With a power output of 180kW, the machine can use electric and hydraulic vibration to pave roadways and surfaces and concrete can be selectively distributed by the spreading plough or spreading auger. Wirtgen slipform pavers can be used to lay concrete pavements with a double cross fall of up to 3%.

Wirtgen has developed a sophisticated concrete paving machine
Versatility and high performance are key features of the new SP84i slipform paver from 2395 Wirtgen.
The modular machine construction allows contractors to suit the machine to an array of applications. And like the existing Wirtgen SP15i and SP25i compact pavers, the SP 84i is equipped with the firm’s WI-Control system.

The machine control system can automatically recognise the configuration and set the optimum parameters accordingly. It also allows the machine to be connected with the customer's own fleet management system through a standard interface. The engine management system reduces fuel consumption and noise emissions by adapting output to the requirements of the application. Wirtgen also offers the smooth slope system which increases the precision of paving while allowing short machine response times.

A Wirtgen slipform paver SP 15i operated fully automatically to produce kerbs near Mobile, in the US state of Alabama, as the company explains. When a new residential area is developed, the individual contract work sections are often very detailed. Roads and paths have to be paved and access roads to the individual plots constructed. Various traffic areas are often separated by concrete structures such as kerbs. These kerbs can be either pre-cast parts or monolithic profiles produced right on the job sit
