Wedding on wheels

In Sweden drive-in weddings are now on the agenda. The Church of Sweden held drive-in weddings at a car rally in Vasteras in central Sweden, with some 36 couples taking up the offer. In all 10 priests officiated and the wedding ceremonies included a procession of 1950s and 1960s cars, a gospel choir and a priest singing Elvis songs, to add to the Las Vegas style.

    In the UK the listed building status normally reserved for architectural masterpieces has been awarded to two canopies originally built for petrol stations. The structures, erected in the 1960s, are located at Markham Moor in Nottinghamshire and Red Hill in Leicestershire.
