360 VSS Macropaver is widening its product offering with the addition of the Macropaver 12E to the range. Truck-mounted, the Macropaver 12E is said to provide the same features and advantages as the earlier Model 12D but now benefits from having the 257 John Deere engine replaced by a PTO drive. Using the PTO drive to power the unit helps to lower emissions, reduce maintenance and cut noise levels during operation.

The Macropaver 12E retains the versatility, high production and low-cost performance of earlier models, according to the firm. And it can be used to apply all slurry and polymer-modified microsurfacing types. Equipped with the New EZ-OP Monitoring System, the Macropaver 12E is said to make it even simpler to train new operators and create ease-of-use by eliminating manual calculations with intuitive controls.

The unit is 7m long by 2.44m wide and 2.24m high above the frame, while it offers a level aggregate capacity of 9.2m3, an emulsion capacity of 3,200litres and a water capacity of 3,200litres. The cement hopper has a capacity of 0.34m3 while additive capacity is 470litres and the hydraulic reservoir has a capacity of 490litres. Features include a variable speed cement feed system with actual percentage to aggregate displayed, pavement fog sprays and joint sprays, automatic variable amplitude hydraulic aggregate hopper vibrator, quick cleaning emulsion basket strainer and a side debris dump box. A wide range of options is available including night lighting, high pressure washer, pugmill, a polymer additive tank and an emulsion self-loading valve.

High surfacing quality can be achieved throughout production due to the automatic sequencing system. The firm says that the Macropaver 12E can double the application rates of earlier generation machines, delivering average outputs of 2.7– 3.6tonne/min. The Macropaver 12E is equipped with high quality components and has no chain or sprocket drives, lowering its maintenance needs. The machine is said to be rugged and dependable with high performance and reliability, ease of operation and productivity.
