Vortex simulator on J.R.Merritt's operator chair system

8585 J.R. Merritt Controls is displaying a Vortex training simulator from 8579 CM Labs Simulations, which is fully integrated with its operator chair systems and custom controls.

Merritt provides innovative, custom joystick control technology and seating systems for a wide variety of applications, including crane and on- and off-highway. By integrating the Vortex simulator for overhead cranes, the company is able to give potential customers a hands-on experience of the quality of their products in action instead of just seeing them on display.

With the simulator, Merritt can set up and adjust the operator chair system properly for the comfort of the individual operator. This enables them to experience the potential increase in productivity achievable by operating from a comfortable position, claims the company.

CM Labs builds simulators to help companies design advanced equipment and train operators. Its Vortex Studio provides a platform for training simulators, mission rehearsal operations, serious games activity, virtual prototyping and testing. Over 1,000 simulators in 30 countries use Vortex software.
