3335 Cargotec believe companies operating in emerging markets will benefit greatly from using its new compact unit suited for mounting on light trucks.

The Hiab ST 080 (stiff and telescopic) concept was developed to meet the need for a crane with good hoisting properties, a low weight and long lifetime. The new model features a boom with a hexagonal profile and is available with two or three extensions.

The ST 083-032 has two extensions and a horizontal outreach of 7.8m, while the ST 084-032 has three extensions and a horizontal outreach of 10.1m and the ST 080 models offer a maximum lifting capacity on the hook of 3.2tonnes.

Said to offer easy use, high productivity and smooth operation, the Hiab ST 080 and other ST cranes feature cross controls that allow a truck driver to operate the crane from either side of a truck.

Other features of the ST 080 include a strong hoisting mechanism, combined with large wire drums and reliable load handling while minimising time spent on loading and unloading. A powerful gearbox provides high hoisting speed at low noise levels. The ST 080 is said by Cargotec to be made of high quality materials with various built-in and well-protected components.
