A woman in New Zealand managed to run over her husband not once but twice in a short space of time. The woman was backing the couple's car from down their driveway when she ran over the unfortunate man. She then drove forward, running him over for the second time. A woman in New Zealand managed to run over her husband not once but twice in a short space of time. The woman was backing the couple's car from down their driveway when she ran over the unfortunate man. She then drove forward, running him over for the second time. An emergency response crew treated the man at the scene before taking him to hospital where he is recovering from his injuries. He suffered moderate injuries to his head, chest and back but was still conscious and able to talk to the ambulance crew. The police treated the incident as an accident and the woman was reported to be too distressed to give a statement afterwards.

Before the officers were able to decide what to do next, the woman began to give birth. The officers, having undergone first aid training, assisted. New mother and baby then made the journey together afterwards having come through this emergency unscathed.

    Quick thinking helped in the rescue of a young boy recently in the UK. A car knocked down the young child in a traffic incident but a fast response from burly passers-by saw the vehicle actually being lifted off the child. Emergency services were quickly on scene to take the injured child to hospital and although the injuries were by no means slight, he is expected to recover.
