New sizes for Mitas CR-01 crane and ERL-30 loader tyres
Prague-based 7296 Mitas has unveiled new sizes for its mobile crane and loader ranges. The Mitas CR-01 crane tyres are now available in 385/95R25 and 525/80R25 sizes and are designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h and 90 km/h respectively. The tyres have been adopted by manufacturers such as 718 Liebherr and 2123 Manitowoc. “New sizes of CR-01 crane tyres are now ready for shipment to our customers,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ marketing and sales director. “Mitas CR-01 is a durable and reliable tyre. It handles the weight of the crane and the load.” The ERL-30 is a 29.5 R25 earth-moving tyre that will be available for worldwide sales in June 2015. ERL tyres are used on loaders, dozers and graders in mining operations. The all-steel radial construction is specifically designed for large wheel loaders, such as Liebherr L 586 and is particularly suited to mixed hard and soft conditions. The ERL series includes 12 tyres of 28 to 90 mm tread depth. "Mitas has massively invested in new production facilities for industrial tyres at its plant in Zlin in the Czech Republic. The range extension of ERL-30 is proof that we will grow stronger in the industrial tyre segment," said Mabin. Also unveiled at the show was the new Mitas radial 18.00R25 CH-01 207A5 tyre for the container handling sector. Specifically designed for material handling machinery used in port terminals and intermodal yards, the tyre has an all-steel construction and reinforced sidewalls for heavy-duty work and good stability.
