Turbocharger package cuts emissions and boosts fuel efficiency

Revised turbocharger means better turbine efficiency

By more closely matching turbine wheels to the compressor, greater fuel efficiency is achieveable, said the firm. The 500-series turbocharger is also said to offer improved resistance to oil leakage by 200% over the current industry standard.
Dynapac is offering four new tandem rollers aimed at asphalt compaction duties that extends its range in the 7-13tonne class to eight models in all. These machines have been developed to provide a high quality surface finish, while being efficient to run with low maintenance needs and easy servicing.
Perkins is introducing a new range of diesels that meet the coming EU Stage V emissions requirements. These have been designed to meet the much tougher emission control requirements. In addition the firm is also introducing a new low cost engine monitoring package.
There are 15 basic engine models in the line-up, with a huge range of variants to suit a massive array of different applications and installation requirements.
John Deere Power Systems says that its new PowerTech 13.5litre engine meets the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions legislation, along with the firm's latest 6.8litre and 9litre variants launched earlier.
