2122 Trimble has developed its T10 Tablet, which the firm claims is a rugged and high-performance data processing platform for use onsite. The unit offers fast computing power and a large screen and is now available through the SITECH dealer channel for use in civil engineering and construction applications. Its key features include a military-grade ruggedness to cope with tough construction site conditions, a sunlight readable display for reading text, graphics and complex maps under field conditions and a multi-touch screen that works with a stylus, fingers or gloves. The unit is compatible with Trimble SCS900 Site Controller Software and Trimble SitePulse software and uses the proven Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.

According to the firm, the Trimble T10 Tablet can be used with Trimble SCS900 Site Controller Software to carry out work such as measuring and verifying ground levels and site features. The system can compute progress and material stockpile volumes, monitor and conduct quality control for earthworks and paving operations and synchronise design and field data via the Internet.

Managers can use the Trimble T10 Tablet onsite with SitePulse software for planning, site navigation and reporting tasks, and to increase communications between the field and office.
