Trimble exhibits remote roadbuilding technology

The Vögele machine that uses Trimble technology

Trimble has exhibited its advanced, remote roadbuilding technology.

The US tech giant demonstrated the system with a Vögele Super 2100-5 X tracked road-paving machine.

Trimble regional sales manager DACH, Martin Wagener, said the control system utilises two masts and if the road gets narrower, the width of the screed can be controlled remotely.

“The operator drives the machine, but we control the screed-spreading process,” he added.
