Wrekin Products now has a patented articulated coupling for its new Highway gully grate range.  The design is said to deliver double-triangular stability with a captive hinge, for easy maintenance and long-term security.

Part of the comprehensive Highway range, the gully grates are designed to be simple for specifiers and users to select as well as far exceeding compliance with relevant standards. Conventional units either have a double-triangle format with three-point suspension for stability, or a one-piece, rectangular hinged gully, which offers better security but is less stable.

However, this new product offers both features. The firm says that all the customer has to do is choose the size required. The articulated coupling is flexible enough when closed to allow the double triangles to rest naturally, for three-point suspension.  When opened, the captive hinges reduce the risk of theft while providing rigidity to allow easy lifting for gully cleaning.
