In Qatar, a young tiger escaped onto a major highway. The animal was filmed strolling through cars stopped in traffic, while occupants hurriedly closed their windows. The animal, thought to be an escaped pet, nonchalantly strolled off the roadway.
Bungling cattle rustlers in Malaysia only just managed to escape being caught when the vehicle they were using for the theft broke down. The thieves were clever enough to use a blowpipe and tranquiliser darts to make the animals sleepy enough to steal.
When a hot dog jumped through the window of a parked van in a bid to escape the uncomfortable heat, things could have ended badly for the pooch. As it exited through the window, the dog’s lead snagged on an obstruction, leaving the animal dangling and it soon fell into unconsciousness. However, a quick-thinking teenager passing by came to the rescue, unclipping the animal’s collar and it was able to recover quickly afterwards.
A British man has cycled around the UK, carrying his dog with him on his bicycle. The man cycled some 4,000km over a four-month period, sleeping in a tent along the way. He took his dog along for the trip and as the animal injured its paws running alongside, opted to transport the animal on the bicycle as well.
A British man was sent to prison for four years after being stopped by police while he was in the process of stealing a JCB telehandler. In his attempts to elude following police, the man veered wildly along narrow roads with no thought for other road users.
