Tier 4 Final earthmovers being unveiled at Conexpo 2014

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is introducing its Tier 4 Final earthmovers to the world market at Conexpo 2014. The new Tier 4 line-up includes the new generation E-Series excavators, H-Series wheeled loaders and G-Series articulated haulers.

2394 Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is introducing its Tier 4 Final earthmovers to the world market at Conexpo 2014. The new Tier 4 line-up includes the new generation E-Series excavators, H-Series wheeled loaders and G-Series articulated haulers.

The engines have been configured to meet the tough Tier 4 Final/Stage IV emissions legislation, while offering low maintenance needs and reduced fuel consumption.

In addition, the new models are said to improve productivity and efficiency. The company claims that the performance improvements in its G-Series ADTs will help it retain its market leading position in this segment. Meanwhile Volvo CE believes that successive performance upgrades for the E-Series excavators and H-Series wheeled loaders will also allow the company to grow market share.

    John Deere’s K Series wheeled loaders have adopted Tier 4 Final emissions standards through the use of John Deere PowerTech engines. The company has also improved machine durability through the addition of standard axle cooling and filtration, the use of brake retractors and automatic adjusters to prevent wear and cut fuel consumption through brake drag. The K Series utility wheeled loaders also feature a standard five-speed lock-up torque converter transmission that is said to cut fuel use by 5-8%.
