Motorcycle thieves in the UK made off with three high performance bikes, a Yamaha R1, a Honda Fireblade and a Honda CBR600, after stealing them from a dealer recently. Motorcycle thieves in the UK made off with three high performance bikes, a Yamaha R1, a Honda Fireblade and a Honda CBR600, after stealing them from a dealer recently. Police were quickly alerted to the theft as they realised the thieves were not wearing motorcycle helmets, which have been required in the UK by motorbike riders since 1976. After requesting clarification from a senior officer, the traffic police were advised not to give chase on the grounds that this could potentially compromise the safety of the thieves in the event of a high speed pursuit ensuing. The thieves safely made their exit and police are now asking the public for clues as to the whereabouts of the stolen motorcycles.
