8081 Terex Trucks is in line for a very productive haul by the end of bauma 2016.

The Motherwell, Scotland-headquartered, globally renowned articulated and rigid hauler manufacturer is here launching its new Stage IV compliant TA400 ADT - at 38tonnes the largest and first of the 7659 Volvo Construction Equipment-owned company’s new generation 10 hauler lineup. The firm is also showcasing its popular 65tonne TR70 rigid dump truck.

“We’ve got quite a few deals just waiting to be signed,” said Jacqueline Reid, marketing manager for Terex Trucks, about the first three days of bauma. “The feedback on the new ADT model has been brilliant.”

To prolong hydraulic component lifecycles, Terex Trucks has introduced magnetic pressure filters that reduce the risk of contaminants entering the system. They also improve the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil.

The Stage IV system on the TA400 features the latest generation Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), combined with Exhaust Gas Regeneration (EGR) technology and a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT).

Reid stressed how Terex Trucks had maintained its focus on reducing customers’ total cost of ownership by removing the need for use of a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The company now offers fully compliant, cost-efficient haulers to all global markets, with the new European Stage IV system complementing Terex Trucks’ Tier 4 Final range of articulated haulers for the North American market and the Tier 2 range designed for the non-regulated markets across the world.

Investments have also been made to enhance operator comfort, ensuring a smooth haul and more productive operation. Anti-vibration mounts for the engine and cabin, as well as cushioned stops on the steering cylinders have been integrated, and the cab features an improved air conditioning and ventilation system.

“The 28tonne TA300 is following the TA400 into production in the next couple of months, and the 25tonne TA250 will follow later in the year,” said Reid. “We’ve also just signed a new German dealer, Klarrman, for our rigid lines, and are looking to appoint another two German dealers. By the end of the year we will have changed 50% of our global dealer network since the Volvo Construction Equipment acquisition in 2014.

“When we have visitors to our plant they see the passion we have for what we do and the investment there’s been in the site.”

Reid said that the Tier 4 compliant TR70 on show at bauma 2016 was sold to a Norwegian customer just before the start of the exhibition.
