Terex’s new Explorer crane offers efficient lifting
1222 Terex’s new all-terrain and truck cranes are said to offer high performance lifting capabilities for use in a diverse range of applications. The new, mid-size all-terrain crane has been specifically developed to address the needs of the North American market. Tight turning circles and fast set up times are claimed for this versatile machine. In addition, the firm is also offering a new, class-defining truck-mounted crane. All cranes are said to be designed with customer needs in mind and will help increase productivity and lower running costs for customers.
Michelin has launched two additional tyres for backhoe loaders and telescopic handlers. The Power CL, which will go on sale in July this year, is a premium bias ply tyre that can handle the same load capacity as a radial, but at a lower cost. Michelin will have a full size offering for this tyre by the end of the year. Goodyear has developed the RL-4D tyre range in response to customer demand for a harsh floor tyre in underground mining. A hybrid mix of the GP4-D and the firm’s RL5K tyre, the RL-4D is suitable for articulated dump trucks and wheeled loaders. Initially the tyre has been launched in an 875/65R29 size, but the company could develop additional sizes if there is demand.
