Taxing times

A taxi driver in Kyrgyzstan attempted to drive off after being stopped by police for a traffic infringement. The plucky policeman however had different ideas and held on tightly to the bonnet of the car, even as the driver veered from side to side of the road in an attempt to throw the officer off the vehicle.

A taxi driver in Kyrgyzstan attempted to drive off after being stopped by police for a traffic infringement. The plucky policeman however had different ideas and held on tightly to the bonnet of the car, even as the driver veered from side to side of the road in an attempt to throw the officer off the vehicle.  After several attempts, the policeman was thrown aside bur refused to give up and continued his pursuit on foot. The driver was subsequently caught and charged accordingly.

    Bystanders in an Ohio town were somewhat perplexed at the sight of a car being driven along the road with a cat tied securely on top of the bonnet (hood). On hearing reports of this occurrence from a series of worried locals, police responded rapidly in a bid to track the offending driver, an elderly woman. The man was attempting to drive his delivery truck from Bangor to Aberystwyth. However he found the village of Beddgelert in Gwynedd a barrier to his journey, with the truck proving unable to negotiate a narrow bridge. Police managed to escort the red-faced driver and his over-sized vehicle to an alternative route.
