Shantui is developing dozers for sale in key markets

Chinese manufacturer 1171 Shantui continues to develop the range of dozers it offers for sale in export markets. Key developments from the firm are the latest SD10Y, SD13Y and SD16CE variants that meet both US and European emissions requirements. Another important product development from the company is a variant of its proven SD32 dozer, which is suited to use in tough desert conditions.

These high-tech machines represent a new direction for Shantui, as they compete directly with models from 178 Caterpillar and 2300 Komatsu in the developed markets of the EU and North America. The hydrostatic SD10YE and SD13YS are said to be highly productive, durable and reliable, with high working efficiency and low fuel consumption. Featuring a fully hydraulic drive from Rexroth, the dozers are powered by low-emission and fuel-efficient 196 Cummins diesels rated at 77kWfor the SD10YE and 98kW for the SD13YS. Both machines also are equipped with a PAT blade to provide unparalleled functionality and versatility. The cabs have also been redesigned, and now feature improved noise reduction, an ergonomically designed chair and operator interface, an air filter and AC unit, and a digital instrument display.
Another new models is the SD16CE. A modification of Shantui’s most popular bulldozer model, the 119kW SD16, the SD16CE also meets European regulations and has a new cab.

In addition the firm has developed a desert-modified SD32D, a variant of the 239kW SD32. Retooled for hot, dry, and harsh environments such as the Middle East and Africa, the SD32D features heat-resistant hydraulics, a robust coolant system, air intake filters, a sealed undercarriage, and a sealed and air-conditioned cab.
