With the Develon transparent bucket function, the driver can easily check the blind spots in front of the wheeled loader’s bucket via the cab monitor

Develon’s Transparent Bucket safety system gets rid of a wheeled loader operator’s blind spots.

For years, the area in front of wheeled loaders has been considered an area of major concern in terms of safety. With the Develon transparent bucket function, however, the driver can easily check the blind spots in front of the bucket via the cab monitor, to increase safety and prevent accidents.

The new version of the system - Transparent Bucket 2.0 - has all of the functionality of the original system, but now offers Object Detection (OD) and Object Recognition. The OD function again uses AI technology to synthesise a red triangular exclamation mark in the centre of the object and display it on the monitor alerting the driver when an object is detected.

An innovative system from French firm IEV could allow customers to use a wheeled loader to take the place of a grader onsite. The quick attachment system offers 30° of rotation to either left or right for the wheeled loader bucket.

Used in conjunction with machine control technology from Leica Geosystems to adjust bucket angle, the IEV attachment system allows a loader to take the place of a grader for many duties such as haul road maintenance or preparation duties. However, a sideshift feature has not been developed so far.
