The two were smiling and waving at passersby from their horse-drawn sleigh when the noise of a vehicle horn startled the animal. Santa and his helper were unable to calm the horse, which reared and sent the pair tumbling from the sleigh as it then collided with a wall. Police were quickly on the scene and determined that the daring duo were heavily under the influence of seasonal spirits. They were charged with drunkenness.
