6264 A-Plant, one of the UK’s largest plant and equipment hire companies, has placed orders for a fleet of 20kVA Rental Compact generators and 6.0kVA sets from 2273 SDMO Energy, the UK arm of French generator manufacturing giant SDMO Industries.

The 20kVA sets are currently being shipped into A-Plant’s depot in Maidstone, south-east England, while the 6.0kVA compact generators are being snapped up by a number of A-Plant’s depots from Dundee and Kilmarnock in Scotland, right down to Cambridge and Romford, southern England.

The total value of these new orders is already approaching €2.58 million, and with other A-Plant depots expected to take up the new 6.0kVA generator very soon, the total value could soon increase substantially.

In addition to this recent purchase, A-Plant already have a fleet of nearly two hundred Tier 3 compliant generators from the SDMO Rental Compact range in a power band between 10kVA to 150kVA.This fleet of generators has already been distributed around A-Plant’s nationwide service centres and is available to rent from Aberdeen right through to Bodmin, in Cornwall.

The SDMO Rental Compact range is said to address some important environmental issues, including low noise levels and reduced ground pollution. The sets are fitted into a sound attenuated canopy and have a fully-bunded, long-run fuel tank, helping to guard against fuel pollution. Lower air contamination is assured as all of these generators comply with Stage 3 of the European Engine Emissions Directives 97/68/EC, 2002/88/EC, 2004/26/EC and 2006/105/EC, which came into force during 2011.

SDMO’s 6.0kVA diesel powered 6000E Ultimate is said to be a super-silent, bunded, professional site generator manufactured to incorporate a host of features and benefits. These include an extended run fuel tank and large, lockable canopy doors for easy servicing.  The generator is powered by the latest 2278 Kohler engine, which includes a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty and is available either skid mounted or made portable with a two-wheel trolley kit.
