Hidromek rode the waves in the SaMoTer Awards by picking up two wins with its HMK230NLC hydraulic excavator: Hydraulic Excavators for Construction Category and the Special Design Category.

The HMK230NLC is part of Hidromek’s H4 series which stand out for their operating speed because of major improvements to hydraulics. The electronics have an increased capacity to monitor the condition of the machine and how it is using the attachments. H4 cabins offer maximum safety and durability under ROPS & FOPS standards. The red handles and warning labels on the new series of the machines are designed to increase the operator’s safety to the highest level. The overall design allows greater operator vision – nearly eliminating blind spots – and LED headlamps significantly improve night vision.

Along with the award-winning HMK230 , HİDROMEK will exhibit other H4 series machines – the HMK 145 LC SR, HMK 310 NLC and HMK 390 NLC crawler excavators.

From Hidromek’s wheel loader range, the heavy duty HMK 635 WL will be on display. The product is more environmentally friendly and productive with its Stage V MTU Mercedes engine, HMK 635 WL shortens the cycle times and provides high load in a short time. The 635 WL is frequently used for mining and quarrying operations as well as with batch plant and other industrial applications.

HMK 635 WL gives particular importance to in-cab comfort and high safety through heated seat heating, reversing camera, touch screen and electrically controlled and heated mirrors. The machine is more stable owing to the engine located in the rear. Service access is improved with a one-piece electric bonnet easily operated from the ground level.

Excavators and wheeled loaders benefit from new engine technology - Mike Woof reports. Competition is tough in the market for crawler excavators and wheeled loaders. These production machines account for a significant percentage of the entire construction equipment market worldwide and the segment also has the widest array of competing manufacturers. In the past, European, Japanese and US manufacturers dominated this sector but in the last 20 years South Korean companies have built significant market shares
