SAE claims high energy efficiency for its storage tanks

These storage tanks are offered in container format and are said to be suitable for use with all types of road binders. The tanks incorporate state-of-the-art technology while offering maximum versatility, whether in a stationary or mobile version.

The design of the new SAE tanks is based on the firm’s experience in the field of bitumen and emulsion engineering. The eTANKs are a range of high performance storage tanks, in container format that are approved for use at sea, offering flexibility, safety and tightness. They are economic to transport. No civil engineering is needed and they can be commissioned and dismantled quickly, boosting their versatility.

The eTANKs have two key applications, for storing bitumen or emulsion. In the 48m3 bitumen storage variant they are usually combined with a hot-mix asphalt installation, a modified bitumen or emulsion production plant.

In the emulsion storage variant they also offer a 48m3 capacity as a rule. For emulsion purposes the tanks may be installed either in a dedicated site such as a filling point for sprayers and other maintenance equipment, or in an emulsion plant, or even a cold- or hot-mix asphalt installation.

Or for emulsion storage and transport, the 20m3 version suits short-term applications.

The firm says that its eTANKs satisfy the constraints and expectations of customers. The units offer transport in approved containers and easy set-up with no need for civil engineering. The also offer low energy consumption due to reinforced insulation. The units can also be integrated with a collection tank and 100% electric reheating and can also be completed by modular equipment such as a stripping, metering or integrated loading units or loading arms.
