8564 Robit Group, the global drilling consumables manufacturer, and its UK subsidiary, BulrocRobit, will reveal its new flagship large hammer - the Bulroc Robit Hyper 331. The high power 838mm hammer extends the group’s Down-the-Hole (DTH) hammer range from 25mm to a hefty 838mm.The Hyper 331 features the claimed largest piston on any DTH hammer in the marketplace, weighing in at an impressive 1,552kgs. This, coupled with a long piston stroke and optimised impact frequency, is also said by Robit to make the hammer the most powerful out there. Robit says it can now offer the smallest (1kg BR1) and largest DTH hammers in the market.

The Hyper 331 operates with foot valveless bits made for 838mm-1320mm diameter holes over a wide range of operating pressures. The Hyper 331 is designed to transfer maximum energy to the button bit and comes with a highly durable shank as a standard.

“We wanted to maximise the power of the new hammer, making it the most powerful in the market, especially for piling applications, where the drill hole sizes and performance requirements are constantly increasing,” says Frank Pettinger, of BulrocRobit product development. “Our target was to make a hammer that outperforms the other large DTH hammers in the market, and it is hoped that we’ve succeeded with flying colours.”

BulrocRobit, traditionally known for the quality and performance of its large Down-the-Hole hammers, has been developing the 838mm hammer for some time. Now the product has been finalised and tested and is ready for global sales and supply. The first hammer has already been sold to a customer in America, so the hammer that will be displayed in Las Vegas will get to work soon after the exhibition.

The Finland headquartered Robit Group will be displaying the widest offering of its products. This will include its full set of Casing Systems, mining and quarrying hammers and DTH bits from DTARobit as well as Robit Top Hammer products and their Digital Services, launched in 2016.

Robit Group has 19 sales and service points worldwide and five manufacturing companies in United States, Australia, South Korea, UK and Finland.
