But one lucky biker in Australia found to his surprise that one car driver was even less aware than usual. The motorcycle rider was waiting at a junction when a 4x4, which had come to a halt ahead of the stop line when the lights changed, suddenly reversed. Seeing the car about to impact, the biker jumped aside from his motorcycle. The 4x4 driver, a learner, ignored the initial impact as well as shouts from the biker and other motorists and reversed right over the bike. The whole incident was captured on the rider’s helmet-mounted camera and the biker expressed his disbelief at the 4x4 driver’s ineptitude in no uncertain terms. Whether the learner driver has subsequently been able to pass a test is unclear.
