A man in New South Wales, Australia has set a record for a driving ban in his own country, and perhaps anywhere. Following a string of offences he has been disqualified from driving until 2094. Since his licence was first suspended he has been stopped while driving by police a total of 29 times in all. Since his licence was first suspended he has been stopped while driving by police a total of 29 times in all. The 77-year-old man used a bus to attend his most recent court hearing, where he was given a three-month suspended jail sentence. But he was told by the judge in no uncertain terms that he would go to jail if he was caught driving again. He had been driving his partner’s pick-up truck and initially claimed that someone else had been at the wheel at the time.
