A driver has been fined following his post of a film clip he made while making an express delivery. The man, a delivery truck driver, opted to pursue an ambulance speeding through his town as other vehicles moved aside to let the emergency vehicle past. A driver has been fined following his post of a film clip he made while making an express delivery. The man, a delivery truck driver, opted to pursue an ambulance speeding through his town as other vehicles moved aside to let the emergency vehicle past. The dimwitted delivery driver thought his exploit so clever, he filmed himself doing so and then posted the clip online on a popular social media website, where it attracted thousands of views. The driver claimed to have been driving safely, despite the video showing him weaving from side to side at speed as he pursued the ambulance. The driver's supervisors found the clip amusing but opted to sack him for the sake of the firm’s reputation, on grounds of safety and as a disincentive to other employees to repeat the incident.
