Quick Rescue

Quick thinking helped in the rescue of a young boy recently in the UK. A car knocked down the young child in a traffic incident but a fast response from burly passers-by saw the vehicle actually being lifted off the child. Emergency services were quickly on scene to take the injured child to hospital and although the injuries were by no means slight, he is expected to recover.

    The Japanese authorities are investigating a crash that involved a large number of expensive sportscars last year. Six people were injured in thecrash although luckily there were no fatalities. The incident resulted in damage costing some US$4 million and involved 10 high performance cars, as well as one rather more conventional vehicle.     Two jewel thieves in the UK found their robbery soon faced a major hitch when a passer-by removed the keys to their getaway vehicle. The pair held up a jewellery shop and ran outside to see that someone had spotted the robbery in progress, pushed over their motorcycle and removed the keys.
