Despite its size and output, the BM 2200/75 milling machine is also said to be adaptable, versatile and easy to transport

Productivity, power and precision are said to be key features of 172 BOMAG’s top of the range BM 2200/75 milling machine. Power comes from a diesel delivering 567kW while the machine can mill widths of 2.2m and to depths of 350mm. The design of the cutter housing is said to allow quick changes of drums for a machine of this size, boosting versatility. Another novel feature is the innovative tooth holder design, which is said to improve milling output while extending service life by up to 30% over earlier generation systems. The quick-change tooth design also lowers machine downtime for complete tooth replacement, which can be carried out four times faster than with conventional designs.

Versatility meanwhile is further boosted by the design of the upper conveyor, which can swivel 60° to the left or right of the centre for efficient truck loading to either side of the machine. Other important features include a cab that can be lowered so as to reduce overall height for ease of transport.
