Telematics can help to prevent downtime

257 John Deere Power Systems is introducing its PowerSight telematic system to European customers.

Brought in on John Deere’s own construction equipment range in the North American market last year, PowerSight is now available to OEMs that use its engines elsewhere.

The system offers geofencing, diagnostic alerts and enables customers to see real-time engine data remotely.

This is particularly useful for rental companies that can see when machinery is in use and charge accordingly. It also allows dealers and fleet managers to proactively service and maintain the equipment, boosting uptime. Even more useful for those with a mixed fleet, the Powersight system uses standard diagnostic protocols, so can be used with non-Deere powered equipment.
