Police unchained

In Mexico City a number of police horses en-route to assist officers at a demonstration decided they would take a break from the day’s work. The 20 animals escaped from the trailer in which they were being transported and bolted down the city’s busy streets. In Mexico City a number of police horses en-route to assist officers at a demonstration decided they would take a break from the day’s work. The 20 animals escaped from the trailer in which they were being transported and bolted down the city’s busy streets. As if drivers in the frequently gridlocked city did not have enough to contend with, they had to watch in alarm as the horses sped past, damaging some vehicles. The horses were later caught by police with eight of the animals having suffered injuries during their flight from the day’s duties. It has not been revealed if they will be charged with road traffic offences.
