Outset: always onboard for accuracy & safety

Outset is a pioneer in onboard weighing and tyre-pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) for industrial and commercial vehicles, earthmoving machinery, logistics and the mining industry.

Based in Sandrigo, a town in the northern Italian province of Vicenza, the company says it sees operators who use its products as partners and allies, conveying their satisfaction with Outset solutions to others by telling them how useful they are.

T1 is Outset’s new concept of onboard weighing and productivity management for earthmoving machinery, mining and logistics, such as wheeled and front loaders, excavators, forklift trucks, telehandlers, and articulated haulers, in one device. An innovative K008 Bluetooth transmission module allows direct and constant control of the loaded material and the job details, such as customer, material, vehicle ID, operator, etc., through an Android app for smartphones or tablets. All weighing data and production databases can be transmitted via a serial or CAN bus line to the onboard computer or directly in-cloud on external devices.

Outset says its entire new T1 product range has been enhanced thanks to interconnection with the cloud permitting bi-directional communication in real time between the onboard weighing system and the ERP server, allowing you to send and receive, at any time, missions/jobs and load data updates (customer, vehicle, destination, material, etc.) directly to the vehicle’s weighing system being used by the operator. Vice versa, the operator using the weighing system via the data SIM, the Wi-Fi connection, or the satellite device can send the load data and the mission/job status directly on the T1 cloud accessible via username and password from any pc or mobile device.

Outset says the T1 interface has been designed to listen to the needs of operators in the sector with simple and intuitive menus that are easy to use.
