Chinese firms LiuGong, Shantui, Sunward and XCMG revealed innovative earthmoving concepts at BICES 2015 – Mike Woof writes. Of the many new machines seen at the recent BICES 2015 construction equipment exhibition in Beijing, a number of firms were notable for their innovations. LiuGong, Shantui, Sunward and XCMG all offered particular developments in earthmoving technology that stood out from the array of more conventional equipment. CASE CONSTRUCTION Equipment introduces three new F Series wheeled loaders to European customers.
The 721F (operating weight 14,929kg), the 821F (17,633kg) and the 921F (19,857kg) are said to offer faster acceleration, reduced cycle times, higher travel speeds and increased productivity, yet boast up to a 10% reduction in fuel consumption.
The F Series loaders are powered by Tier 4 interim diesel engines, with improved programmable power modes.
An optional five-speed transmission further boosts fuel
Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe has signed a deal with Cramo, one of Europe’s largest rental companies, for the purchase of between 800-1,000 machines.
The deal for hydraulic compact excavators was made after Cramo spent several months testing products, said Klavs Otisons, product area and sourcing manager for Cramo Group Fleet Management. “Yanmar has been our supplier for already a couple of years, but with this settlement we can offer our customers products and services in even better quality.”
