Cummins says that it offers the longest service intervals in the industry

The X15 engine from Cummins delivers more than just power and drivability for offroad machines, it offers reliability and operating-cost reductions through a proprietary, prognostic-based, maintenance-monitoring system says the manufacturer.

Millions of miles of testing data has been analysed by Cummins engineering experts to allow the new engine to deliver life-remaining forecasts on engine consumables including oil, oil filter, stage 2 fuel filter, DPF, and urea filter.

Cummins says that the new engine offers the longest service intervals in the industry. The engines come with first-fit connectivity from the point of sale through Acumen, Cummins’ smart computing hardware, or via an OEM telematics device.

These first-fit devices offer immediate access to Cummins’ Connected Solutions …a full suite of digital capabilities.

There is also remote diagnostics with real-time monitoring of fault alerts and predictive insights for Cummins engines to reduce unplanned downtime.

Meanwhile, over-the-air programming allows optimisation of the engine’s performance by updating software and parameters remotely.

When there is downtime, however, Guidanz is Cummins’ all-in-one digital-servicing technology suite. It helps increase service-bay productivity, repair speed and workflow management.

To help drivers operate more efficiently, the X15 Performance Series offers EX powertrain features such as Predictive Shifting and Dynamic Power with the Endurant Transmission to give you the best of both worlds when it comes to performance and efficiency.
