New HC28 drifter joins the Montabert family

Montabert is to introduce a new hydraulic drifter, the HC28, which has a 10kW output, and which is the company’s latest model. Montabert’s HC28 hydraulic drifter, the company’s latest model

2396 Montabert is to introduce a new hydraulic drifter, the HC28, which has a 10kW output, and which is the company’s latest model.

The company, which says it introduced the hydraulic rock drill in 1970, points to the HC28’s compact and robust design, which allows the HC28 to drill holes from 32-64mm for surface or underground jobs, and for standard drilling or anchoring.

Montabert says that the HC28 has been designed to be quickly and easily mounted on any type of carrier, without having to perform heavy adaptations or special fittings on the machine.

Maintenance operations have also been set to be simple and ergonomic to minimise downtime and costs, while by transmitting energy in an optimal way, rods, bits and shanks lifespans are said to be maximised. Because the HC28 front guide is much less stressed, mainly regarding temperature increases, the HC28 has low lubricant consumptions.

Modern satellite technology is making life easier for everyone on the construction site and in the office. Most major equipment manufacturers are now integrating GPS machine control systems into the design of excavators, bulldozers, pavers, and motor graders. For stake-less work it is a major component for automatic grading, surveying, and excavating systems, with contractors and construction companies using GPS machine control systems to improve operations.

Atlas Copco Construction Tools now offers six new hydraulic compactor attachments designed for use on excavators ranging in weight from 1-40tonnes. A key innovation for the HC range is a housing attachment that can be offset at 15°, which improves the distribution of forces on the vibrator plate while reducing stress and wear. The firm says that the compactors are virtually maintenance-free due to a PermanentLube continuous lubrication system. The integrated flow rate and pressure control protects these uni
