New engines at heart of JCB’s upgraded rough terrain forklifts

JCB is now fitting its new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax diesel engine to its latest rough terrain forklift range. The engine delivers the same 55kW output as the previous Dieselmax motor, but meets the Tier 4 emissions regulations without the need for a diesel particulate filter or an SCR exhaust after-treatment system. This reduces running costs for customers and the Ecomax engine is being fitted to all four models in JCB’s RTFL range: the 926, 930, 940 and 950.

JCB says its new rough terrain forklift models offer increased performance
255 JCB is now fitting its new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax diesel engine to its latest rough terrain forklift range.

Features of the engine include an efficient combustion design that reduces exhaust emissions and improves fuel consumption. High fuel injection pressures, variable geometry turbocharging and cooled exhaust gas recirculation allow the engine to meets Tier 4 emissions standards with no requirement for a DPF or after-treatment.

The 926, 930, 940 and 950 models have lifting capacities of 2.6-4.5tonnes, with mast lift heights of 3.6-6.7m. There are new front and rear-mounted working lights available and the machines can be ordered with a canopy or a glazed cab.
