The new Galileo units are said to offer high accuracy

2139 Controls and 3912 IPC Global are now offering new innovations in asphalt testing equipment and services.

The innovative Galileo and Galileo Research units are fully electromechanical gyratory compactors. According to Controls, the units offer a major advance in gyratory compaction. The units are designed to offer testing accuracy, repeatability, safety and efficiency. Both models use closed-loop control and patented orbital motion to compact specimens with a level of stiffness and angle stability that exceed the new requirements of AASHTO T312, ASTM D6925, D7115 and EN 12697-31 standards.

  • The compact, modular system from IPC Global can carry out four tests accurately
    April 11, 2013
IPC Global has launched thermal asphalt multi-test system TSRSTplus, a compact modular machine which allows engineers to accurately perform four tests that characterise the resistance of asphalt mixtures to low-temperature cracking. The results can assist in pavement design and structural analysis to reduce thermal cracking and improve the life cycle performance of asphalt pavements. It is the only commercially available low temperature uniaxial testing machine with three test stations. The ability to test
