A German driver has had a rather abrupt reminder as to why it is necessary to look properly before pulling out at a junction. The driver, a young woman, drove her small VW from a side road and straight into the path of an oncoming British Army tank, which was on its way to military manoeuvres. Luckily for the woman, the tank driver was rather more attentive and he managed to halt his heavy-armoured vehicle before it completely crushed the car. A German driver has had a rather abrupt reminder as to why it is necessary to look properly before pulling out at a junction. The driver, a young woman, drove her small VW from a side road and straight into the path of an oncoming British Army tank, which was on its way to military manoeuvres. Luckily for the woman, the tank driver was rather more attentive and he managed to halt his heavy-armoured vehicle before it completely crushed the car. Fortunately the VW’s driver was unhurt in the incident, although her car was a write-off.

However the air and water dispensers were out of order and when she asked inside the filling station, was told that she was not allowed a bucket of water to refill the fluid reservoir or wash her windscreen as this contravened the firm's health and safety policy.     A motorcyclist in India found out exactly why it is advisable not to use a cellphone while topping up fuel at a filling station. The man stopped to fill the tank of his motorcycle, then rested the phone on the bike. A huge flame suddenly appeared, setting the rider and his bike alight. Luckily however an attendant was near at hand, quickly coming to the aid of the rider. The motorcyclist also had the good sense to move his bike away from the pumps, preventing the fire from spreading.
