Mining truck and port handling tyres launched by BKT

BKT is increasing its presence in the heavy mining business and in the port handling sector. Large rigid truck tyres include the SR45 Plus, a 27.00R49 steel radial in an E4 earthmoving pattern. The tyre incorporates a self-cleaning tread pattern that is said to minimise noise and vibration in operation. BKT is also adding the SR47 to the line-up, in both 18.00R33 and 24.00R35 sizes, again with an E4 tread pattern.

In the port materials handling sector BKT is introducing a range of tyres for reach stackers, straddle carriers and larger industrial forklift trucks. While the construction market remains stable, BKT sees big potential for growth in the port handling market and, with that in mind, later this year will launch two port tractor tyres.
