The new Michelin XADN + tyre is now available in sizes 23.5R25 and 26.5R25.

With the new sizes, 720 Michelin’s tyre offer covers all types of articulated dump trucks (ADT). Launched last year, the XADN + tyre is already said to be providing work site and quarry operators with improved ADT versatility, productivity and safety, when fitted on trucks involved in everything from motorway projects, to sandpits, quarries or surface mining operations.

The XADN + is said by Michelin to have enhanced resistance to sidewall cuts and scrapes thanks to the addition of a protective belt. Additionally, a more durable tread with optimised layers on the crown and in the casing maximise the use of ADT’s and their onsite productivity.

Using 18kg fewer raw materials than the prior-generation XADN, the XADN + is an environmentally-sensitive tyre. All Michelin earthmover tyres are manufactured in plants certified to ISO 14001 standards. The Michelin XADN + is also said to be both reparable and retreadable.

Furthermore, the XADN + tyre benefits from C2 technology, which deploys a latest-generation casing that reduces heat build-up when the tyre is in use, and to a 0.5bar increase in operating pressures, which can come to 5bar for an authorised load of 9,250kg per axle in size 23.5R25 tyres and 11,500kg per axle for size 26.5R25 tyres.

As well as these improvements, the Michelin XADN + range offers all the advantages of the Michelin XADN tyre, such as superior floatation and excellent traction on loose soil, thanks to a deeply grooved tread featuring blocks with multiple sipes and offset shoulder blocks.
