Manitowoc releases lighter hoist rope for mobile cranes

Manitowoc has released the first synthetic hoist rope designed specifically for mobile cranes. The hoist rope is Grove’s new RT770E with KZ 100. It is a result of a joint development between Samson, a synthetic rope manufacturer, and Manitowoc. The hoist rope is 80% lighter than wire rope and features torque neutral construction that eliminates load spin and cabling. 2123 Manitowoc has released the first synthetic hoist rope designed specifically for mobile cranes.

The hoist rope is Grove’s new RT770E with KZ 100. It is a result of a joint development between Samson, a synthetic rope manufacturer, and Manitowoc.

The hoist rope is 80% lighter than wire rope and features torque neutral construction that eliminates load spin and cabling. The new hoist material also makes for easy handling, reeving and installation as it reduces kinking, bird caging and damage from other types of cable-spooling issues.
