HydroDrive can now be specified on TGS and TGX truck ranges using the D20 and D26 engines, in combination with the TipMatic – the firm’s auto-shifting manual transmission. MAN said on- and off-road gear shifting programs are available, with the driver able to activate HydroDrive from a switch, while on the move.

The system switches off automatically above a speed of 28km/h, and re-engages without driver intervention when the speed drops below 23km/h.
