A number of visitors to South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park had a rather close-up view of a lion attacking an antelope recently. The drivers were sitting in their cars when a lion sprang at an antelope, tearing at its throat and killing the unfortunate animal almost instantly. A number of visitors to South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park had a rather close-up view of a lion attacking an antelope recently. The drivers were sitting in their cars when a lion sprang at an antelope, tearing at its throat and killing the unfortunate animal almost instantly. This was photographed in graphic detail by the visitors, although some rather rashly opened their car windows so as to get a better view. Only a short time previously a visitor to the park was killed when a lion pounced through her open car window.

The driver saw the animal waiting to cross and stopped, with an oncoming vehicle doing the same. With the feline safely across, both cars were then able to proceed.     A driver in the UK was issued with a parking ticket, when stopped at a red light. The driver was issued the parking ticket as his vehicle was spotted halted at a bus stop. After the driver appealed, the local authorities admitted that issuing the parking ticket had been a mistake. Also in the UK, a Welshman received a rather unpleasant surprise when he opened his post. He had been sent fines for driving his vehicle in a bus lane and parking illegally in London, around 400km away.

    Police in Germany were amused when they discovered the culprit in a series of mysterious speeding offences in a north German town. The town’s speed cameras had been triggered, but no cars were visible in the photos.
