Liebherr’s LTM 1300-6.2 all-terrain crane exhibited at Conexpo 2014

The LTM 1300-6.2 all-terrain crane with single-engine drive is the successor to the proven LTM 1250-6.1. Its telescopic boom has been extended by six metres to 78m, and the model’s load capacity has also been increased. Liebherr’s LTM 1300-6.2 all-terrain crane
The LTM 1300-6.2 all-terrain crane with single-engine drive is the successor to the proven LTM 1250-6.1. Its telescopic boom has been extended by six metres to 78m, and the model’s load capacity has also been increased. 718 Liebherr claims its LTM 1300-6.2 crane is the most powerful mobile crane in the 300tonne class available on the market.

While the LTM 1300-6.2 is designed as a simple folding jib crane, it is also said by the German firm to be the smallest luffing jib crane on the market. This provides crane operators a low cost entry point into the luffing jib crane class.

A new concept for the superstructure drive unit has been used on the new LTM 1300-6.2. Instead of the twin-engine concept normally used on cranes in the 300tonne class, the LTM 1300-6.2 is powered by a single engine with a mechanical shaft. A mechanical shaft is said by Liebherr to ensure particularly high efficiency and, as a result, guarantees low fuel consumption for this new concept.

Other models from Liebherr’s crane line-up on show at Conexpo 2014 are the new LR 11000 crawler crane, the 380 EC-B flat-top crane, and the 542 HC-L luffing job crane.

  • Yanmar’s new mini excavator is light and slim but still packs a punch
    January 6, 2017
Yanmar’s SV26 mini crawler excavator was launched at bauma 2013. Slim enough to fit in one lane of a road and weighing in at 2590kg, the SV26 can be transported on a small trailer or light vehicle. “Although it is a compact machine, it is very powerful,” said Yanmar spokesperson Anne Chatillon. The SV26 is powered by a three-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine with direct injection and a cylinder capacity of 1330cm3, which reduces fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining high power (17.4kW at 2,400rpm).
