Liebherr 's R9200: Advanced bucket and GET Solution
718 Liebherr’s new R 9200 mining excavator is a 200tonne class machine being offered in different configuration options to fit worldwide requirements. The machine features a 12.5m3 bucket that is said to be the biggest in its class and the R 9200 is designed to match trucks with payloads of up to 140 tonnes.

The R 9200 is offered in both backhoe and face shovel configuration and features the Liebherr advanced bucket and GET solution. The firm claims that the machine achieves efficient digging performance and high fill factors, even in extreme mining conditions. Power comes from a 196 Cummins QSK38 diesel that complies with Tier 2/Stage II or Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission limits and delivers 810 kW.

The firm says that output is boosted by an advanced electronic piloting control system, as well as the patented Litronic Plus power management system, which optimises electrical, mechanical and hydraulic power distribution. The firm claims that the R 9200 cycles faster and consumes less fuel than rival models in its class.
